As a scrapbooking fan, we often find ourselves using the cute shapes of stickers with various design on it. Sometimes we even add some masking tape for the texture or to create a certain look. Today, we have to thank the new type of masking tape which originally come from Japan, the washi tape.

Definition:

washi tape {masking tape made from washi paper} Japan

1: Masking tape is a type of pressure sensitive tape made of a thin and easy-to-tear paper, and an easily released pressure sensitive adhesive  2: Washi comes from wa meaning Japanese and shi meaning paper, and the term is used to describe paper made by hand in the traditional manner.

They are all cute aren’t they? With washi tape, you can do anything with it. There are a lot of craft ideas shared around related to washi tape craft and diy. Here’s some sample I love the most:

Washi Tape Keyboard

Washi Tape Table – Glass from Kelly Oshiro

Notebook Cover Washi Tape

Washi Tape Clock by Tatertots and Jello

Washi Tape Business Card by Mint Design

Now, wonder where to get them? You can find them in craft stores like Michaels and the like, or order online on Etsy, Ebay, Cute Tape, or if you plan to buy in bulk as wholesaler, go to MT Official Website to find out more.
